It's week three of Turns You Can Trust. This week we see four identical looking handmade carbon German racing bicycles have been locked up to our bike rack. This can only mean one thing, Kraftwerk are in the house. Formed in 1970 after Ralf Hütter originally met Florian Schneider at the Düsseldorf Conservatory in the late 1960's. They embarked on the kind of influential career only matched by the massively over rated Beatles from our very own Liverpool. Why can you trust them? that is the question, well you could start with a little look back and listen at their quite extraordinary back catalogue. 1974's Autobahn would be a good place to start, but as we are dealing with an act that remain relevant simply by breathing in and out, the joy is you can now re-listen to their last eight albums, as they have all received some fine remastering from the hand of Ralf Hütter. Their greatest ever live show was, of course, their headlining show at the 1997 Tribal Gathering near Luton, having been hidden away for the previous eight years making themselves even more brilliant.
Kraftwerk, this weeks Turn You Can Trust.

PLAID PLAY SOUNDCRASH
Plaid are the kind of band you might meet on another planet, if we had regular space travel available, they would be the perfect band to headline a festival in outer space. They can't be from anywhere as normal as the U.K., maybe they tick over in suspended animation and are plugged into their computers when it's time for a new record. What ever the truth is, it's out there and so are Plaid.
