How many albums has your favourite band or singer released? three? four? forty five? maybe more if your favourite band is The Fall. If you answered one hundred and twenty five, then you must be a big fan of Charles Aznavour, born on this very day in Paris, in 1924, Charles is still half way through his farewell world tour that started in 2006. Probably best known in the UK for his 1974 hit 'She' Monsieur Aznavour has been singing about that most French of subjects, 'love' on over one thousand songs he has written during the sort of career that has seen him often described as the French Sinatra. So this week let's raise a glass and dance in that old fashioned way to someone who has never turned up late or drank the rider too early in the evening, the one and only Charles Azanavour.
