Has the danger gone out of music? Where is the new Jaz Coleman? Where is the new Michael Gira? What happens now that Nine Inch Nails have hung up their black vests and effect pedals? Will anybody ever replace Mark E. Smith? Will you ever get the chance to take your Gran to see the Butthole Surfers? Who is going to come on stage with both their hands on fire in 2010?
Will the inevitable return of the Libertines in 2011 be all that? Why don't Kasabian just stay in Australia and open a hat shop with Jet? Are we ever going to see the likes Johnny Cash, Ian Dury, Ian Curtis, Leonard Cohen and Joe Strummer ever again?
If any of these questions concern you, welcome to our world. If they get you all hot under collar do the decent thing, form a band with your best mates and let us know what you sound like. One thing we do have right now, is an amazing array of ways you may communicate your art via the world wide webbage. Lets use it rather than abuse it, because as very wise person once said, You can't do anything about the length of your life, but you can do something about its width and depth.
Ted with both eyes on the depth. |

MR SCRUFF RETURNS
Mr Scruff parties attract the lovely kind of gentle folk that you would happily give your front door keys to look after. They also know a decent tune when they hear it, and they hear plenty of them when the man they call Scruff is behind his bank of decks.
