“Who loves the sun, who cares that it makes plants grow, who cares what it does since you broke my heart...” ahh that most seasonal of sounds from the Velvet Underground with “Who Loves The Sun", come on admit it, we all occasionally do the voice of a cheesy radio DJ in our heads when your iPod's on the perfect shuffle..no ? Just us then...
The sun is out dear punter and so are the KOKO recession busting drink offers, which we're serving up at Club NME, Guilty Pleasures, and all of our weekday gigs. The aforementioned fiery red planet has timed it's appearance with the opening of our rather swish if we say so ourselves, outside terrace, where you can catch a glorious sunset over mornington cresecent, what were you expecting the hanging gardens of Babylon?

EROL ALKAN HEADLINES ANNIE MAC PRESENTS
Throwing Erol Alkan and Annie Mac together is a bit like adding 800 eggs to an already criminally over egged powder keg cake mix. It's the monthly maintenance budget that's gonna suffer when the roof gets blown off and lands in another postcode.

MR SCRUFF THIS SATURDAY
A lot of things have happened since Mr Scruff started making a name for himself under the shadow of Manchester's mid 90s club scene. Not only has he released four critically acclaimed albums, with countless tours and club events he has cemented his now legendary DJ status. This is a DJ that can sell out the 1500 capacity London KOKO armed only with his records, some turntables and a few spare packets of teabags! Scruff will be at the controls for 6 hours, serving up a melting pot of jazz, soul, hip hop, funk, boogie, electrofunk, disco, deep house, reggae, dubstep, afrobeat, latin, and plenty of goodies that don't fit into any category, as well as plenty of new Scruff material, including the new single with Kirsty Almeida 'Pickled Spider'
