Editors frontman Tom Smith has denied that he is quarreling with Radiohead after branding the band “selfish” for their stance on illegal downloading.

Tom had earlier revealed that he thought the bands 2007 release of ‘In Rainbows’, where they famously gave fans the option to pay what they like, contradicts their current anti-file sharing stance.

Recently Tom spoke to NME Radio to confirm that he wasn’t trying to attack the band personally, but felt that their album giveaway had hurt up and coming artists.

"All this debate, it's hard getting involved because I don't offer a solution. I'm not saying they started a problem; I'm not spearheading a campaign against them. The problem is devaluing music. Radiohead gave away their record for free… big bands have responsibility for small bands."

Editors are about to embark on a ten date arena tour of the UK to help promote their third album ‘In This Light and On This Evening’.

This week Editors released the first track from their upcoming album entitled ‘Papillon’ which you can view below.
